UPDATE:\u00a0 <\/strong>Wow!\u00a0 Killing babies really does trump curing breast cancer, not just for Hollywood celebrities, but for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.\u00a0 Capitulating to the all-out assault from the abortion-loving left in this country, the Komen Foundation reversed course on February 3 and reinstated funding for Planned Parenthood.\u00a0 I’m sure that Komen will issue prompt refunds to all those who contributed in the last two days, based on their earlier decision to stop the grants to PP.\u00a0 I hope that all the Hollywood celebrities and the politicians who terrorized Komen until they reversed course are proud of themselves.\u00a0 Score another victory for the pro-death, pro-abortion lobby in the United States.\u00a0 They maybe pleased, but the Creator of the Universe certainly can’t be!<\/span><\/p>\n

I must admit that I had not been following the whole kerfuffle over the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s announcement that they would no longer issue grants to Planned Parenthood.\u00a0 My first reaction was, “Why was a foundation, whose mission is to find a cure for breast cancer, funding an organization that is responsible for the deaths of millions of unborn children, including an untold number of girls?”\u00a0<\/em> My second reaction was, “Good for them!”<\/em><\/p>\n

In the wake of that announcement, the lunatic left has become completely unhinged (if that is even possible).\u00a0\u00a0Many of Komen’s\u00a0supporters\u00a0— who have heretofore\u00a0contributed to\u00a0the Komen\u00a0Foundation’s excellent work in finding a cure for breast cancer — are vowing to withhold their financial support.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because this charitable foundation, which has done much to help millions of women battling breast cancer,\u00a0had the audacity to change its funding\u00a0policies.\u00a0 Those changes affected Planned Parenthood’s qualifications for a grant.\u00a0 After receiving grants the last four years, PP will no longer get money from the Komen Foundation.\u00a0 I guess they will have to go elsewhere in their quest to help kill as many unborn children as possible.\u00a0 (And, for those who say these funds were “merely” used to provide medical testing (such as mammograms) to women and were not used to fund abortions, I would point out that the Komen grants merely\u00a0freed upon PP money that could then\u00a0be used to directly end the lives of unborn children through abortion.)<\/p>\n

Not to worry.\u00a0 Hollywood to the rescue.\u00a0 Some Hollywood celebrities (and I use that term loosely), including Roseanne Barr, Ellen Barkin, Dana Delaney, and Lance Armstrong<\/a>, are apparently\u00a0cutting\u00a0ties with the\u00a0Komen Foundation.\u00a0\u00a0The decision of the last of those, former Tour de France champion Armstrong, certainly makes one go, “huh?”\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0If memory serves, wasn’t it this “great”<\/em> cyclist who was engaged to Sheryl Crow when\u00a0she was diagnosed with breast cancer?\u00a0 How is\u00a0taking money from the\u00a0Komen Foundation, which has done so much to help women whose lives have been touched\u00a0by breast cancer, the rationale thing\u00a0to do?\u00a0 Oh, I\u00a0forgot.\u00a0\u00a0This is Hollywood and their leftist enablers (including NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg<\/a>).\u00a0 Thinking with their minds is not\u00a0necessarily Hollywood’s strong suit.\u00a0\u00a0Of course, thinking with other parts of the anatomy\u00a0comes quite naturally for many in Tinseltown!<\/p>\n

But, Hollywood, like almost all of the Democrat Party (that’s somewhat redundant), are sold out to the “pro-choice”<\/em>\u00a0cause.\u00a0 Anything that deviates from wholesale, 100% agreement and support for the abortion lobby in this country is anathema to the left.\u00a0 Instead of continuing to contribute to both the Komen\u00a0Foundation AND Planned Parenthood — which are not mutually exclusive if you support both\u00a0finding a cure for breast cancer and support the slaughter of innocent babies — the left in Washington, D.C., NYC, and Hollywood will withdraw their support for Komen’s excellent breast cancer research.<\/p>\n

Not to worry.\u00a0 Contributions to the Susan G. Komen Foundation have soared more than 100% in the last two days<\/a>.\u00a0 I guess life — the life of both women with breast cancer and unborn babies — does matter.\u00a0 At\u00a0least to most Americans.\u00a0 Hollywood — not so much!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
