When my wife was very pregnant with our three sons — all born before their expected due date at two, two, and four weeks early respectively — I can’t remember the number of people who asked us, “When is your fetus due?” Well, on second thought, I can remember the number — zero. zip. nada. zilch. To ask such a question would indicate either a serious mental or spiritual illness or both on the part of the questioner. No one in their right mind would think, much less speak, such a thought. Which brings us to all but three Senate Democrats, including all announced Democrat Presidential candidates who are currently serving in the United States Senate.
Last night, the world’s greatest deliberative body failed to pass the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” which would have mandated medical care for babies — not fetuses — who survive a botched abortion (i.e., murder). For a group that blathers on about science when it relates to the god of climate change, Democrats tie themselves in proverbial knots trying to explain away biology and common sense when defending abortion through birth. And, when Mazie “I hate men and common sense” Hirono becomes the spokesperson for Democrat abortion beliefs, you know that you are deep in a hole, still digging but blissfully unaware of just how pathetic you really are. Hirono, the Democrat Senator from Hawaii who has no business being on the Judiciary Committee, much less in the United States Senate, argued against protecting living, breathing humans when she babbled on the floor of the Senate last night:
“The legislation we are debating today is just the latest salvo in the far right wing assault on a women’s constitutionally protected right to an abortion,” Hirono said.
This is not only a lie, but it is utterly insane. And evil. This legislation is not about restricting abortion rights. It is about human rights. It is about doing that which any civilized nation would do, namely protect the most innocent and vulnerable in our society. However, the Democrat Party clearly demonstrated last night that they will do anything, up to and including approving and legitimizing infanticide, in order to appease an abortion god who has become ever harder to appease.
This is the logical progression of Roe vs. Wade, but it is not the end of the line. What’s the difference between a baby a minute before birth and a minute after birth? According to Ralph Northam, the still Democrat Governor of Virginia, and most elected Democrats, the answer: NOTHING. Northam, the pediatrician Governor who inexplicably clings to power despite his “blackface” past, gave the game away last month in arguing in favor of a radical abortion rights bill (which was subsequently defeated):
“The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.”
This, my friends, is what is known as “post-birth abortion” or infanticide. Some just call it murder. Medical ethicists in Great Britain and elsewhere have even begun making the case that “after-birth abortions” should be permissible:
“Abortion is largely accepted even for reasons that do not have anything to do with the fetus’ health. By showing that (1) both fetuses and newborns do not have the same moral status as actual persons, (2) the fact that both are potential persons is morally irrelevant and (3) adoption is not always in the best interest of actual people, the authors argue that what we call ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled.” (After-Birth Abortion: Why Should the Baby Live?)
This is the direction that virtually every Senate Democrat, including all announced Presidential candidates, voted in favor of last night, whether or not they realize it (they do) and whether or not they admit it (they won’t). Among Democrat Senators yesterday, only Joe Manchin (WV), Bob Casey (PA), and Doug Jones (AL) stood on the side of the unborn and newly born. By their vote, Democrats have clearly spoken to the nation and to the world what they believe about the lives of babies and life itself. For every American who is rightfully appalled at such a horrific and evil statement, may we heed the words of German Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was put to death for daring to oppose Nazi evil in WWII, and speak out against the murder of the innocents:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltess. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
Evil never rests. Be on guard. Take up the full armor of God. Blessings!
Tressy,
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment. You are right about evil, but greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Thanks for sharing this on Twitter. Hope you are doing well. God bless,
Howell
I pray all God’s people raise up in the face of this evil, to save his children. Amen
